The hotel itself is quite ok. Rooms are very clean and cozy and breakfast is very nice. But honestly, the overpriced dinner and the deception I had with it were enough to drop my rating to 2/5 stars. I think that the problem is that they didn't give a f**k for the vegetarian option (which according to them was a separate menu, thus not being a buffet as regular dinner is). I had literally one pasta with tomato sauce as "primo" and FOUR slices of tomato accompanied of THREE slices of mozzarella and 3 olives as a "secondo". Seriously?? 18€ for this?
Forgot to mention: location is really really good.
Despite the dinner it's an awesome place.
My family and I travelled to the Amalfi coast from Rome, and needed a place to stay for the night. We were excited to book a two room at Herculaneum hotel for the reviews we on Google. Hotel Herculaneum lived up to its reviews, excellent customer service, clean rooms and authentic Italian food! The front desk staff were friendly, accommodating and helped us organize our day trip to Capris. The rooms were clean and when we requested extra pillow, they were able to deliver. The food was delicious. Specifically, the fresh orange juice in the morning was refreshing and delicious. Hotel Herculaneum went above to ensure our experience was perfect and we were comfortable. Five stars!
Very reasonably priced rooms, food, and drinks. We were very happy with the cost and cleanliness of the room. Rooms are simple but the beds are comfortable and the room was EXCEPTIONALLY quiet. It was such a nice break from the cities. Best of all, the man working the front desk when we arrived was incredibly helpful. He gave us tons of tips on local markets, places to eat, the ruins, and local tours offered. I didn't partake in any of the tours offered by the hotel, but they seemed priced below other tour establishments.
Probably the best hotel I stayed in while in Italy. Just nice, clean, spacious. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. A hidden gem.
The best thing about this friendly hotel is its proximity to the entrance to Herculaneum. The staff is helpful and the time are perfectly correct. The rooftop bar is great, and the orange juice was the best I've tasted in a long time.
This place has an amazing location, literally across the street from the Herculaneum Archaeological Site. There are a couple restaurants located within easy walking distance as well. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early which was great. The room was a nice size with a bathtub included. The patio was a nice touch as well. Their dining room was very well done as was the outdoor dining or lounge area. They have quite an assortment of room options so they most likely can accommodate you. The bed was comfortable and the sheets felt and smelled clean. Overall a great place to stay near Napoli and Pompei.
The hotel is in a great location by the Herculaneum ruins and close to a couple trains and downtown square. Rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and wifi, and there is a very nice outdoor terrace. There was an excess of staff all very friendly. Would 5 star if they offered complimentary water and shuttle service to and from the main train station.
Perfect in every aspect. Sublime breakfast and kind professional staff really stand out.
Love the vibe here- it's chilled, clean & cool & great value for money. It does the Italian/Napoli experience fabulously. Good food, great friendly staff. Interesting international clientele
Next door to the excavation of Herculaneum
Really friendly people, all the way from the front desk to the restaurant staff - I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Location is great too.
