The hotel is an old monastery, situated at the edge of the old town of Cherasco, a sleepy little town in the Barolo wine region. The building and its surroundings are stunningly beautiful.
The hotel has a pleasant pool area with a good number of sunbeds and a cabaña. The pool area is an extension of the pleasant bistro's terrace, so there's no need to get up from one's sunbed to order appetizers or a cocktail to be enjoyed in the sun.
The food in both the fine dining restaurant upstairs as well as in the bistro is very good and a good value for money. The service is friendly and professional across the property.
I would recommend this as a base for e.g. visiting Barolo and its wineries, or just taking a couple of days to relax and enjoy the sun, the pool, the good food and the beautiful surroundings.response / report this review -

Renovated monasterytastefully done. Everything clean. Warm and friendly service from all staff we encountered. Back garden and cafe are beautiful.
Breakfast in the basement is a bit sad. Better to pay at the cafe or take a short walk :)response / report this review -

Solo la location merita 5 stelleun meraviglioso monastero sulle colline di Cherasco, ogni particolare è curato nel minimo dettaglio.
Il cibo è veramente ottimo,da 5 stelle!

Location meravigliosa ma l'hotel non è da 4 stelle. Camera normale con bagno mediocre, riscaldamento a 27 gradi non modificabile se non spegnendolo, colazione nella media. Non mi esprimo sul ristorante perché mi pare di aver capito che lo chef non fosse presente per problemi di salute. Fosse stato un 3 stelle avrei dato 5 stelline.

Hotel con un'ambientazione incantevole a cherasco. Personale gentile. Il bagno turco era fuori uso nei giorni in cui avevo regalato un soggiorno presso questa struttura a due coppie di amici. Peccato, perché avevo scelto la struttura anche per questo motivo e peccato perché il giorno prima, quando ho prenotato (e il problema era già presente), non mi è stato detto nulla
