One of those breath taking landmarks. It is unbelievable to imagine what this site used to be and that what is left over is nearly 2000 years old. It is definitely worth spending a hole morning or afternoon exploring the site and I strongly suggest if you are in the area to have lunch at Trattoria Erik

Astonishing site of epic Roman ambition and ingenuity. Well worth a visit. Sadly, the information boards are not particularly enlightening and would be insufficient if there were crowds but much information can be found online.

Monumental, historical Roman villa dating back ~120 DC. Great place, well maintained. I recommend to book a guided visit. Suggested

May seem like a bunch of ruins from afar but archaeologists have already made great strides in understanding the site and its connection to the famous emperor Hadrian.
The place is a little out of town but can be accessed easily via a ten-minute bus ride (4 or 4x) from the city centre of Tivoli. Please remember to buy tickets ahead of time, however; they are not available on the bus.response / report this review -

Great place to visit and wander around in to see the old ruins. Be aware that you will likely do a lot of walking so take good shoes!

Very cool place to walk around and take pictures. You can walk through the villa and ruins. There are signs with both Italian and English explanations of what you're looking at. When we went, there were hardly any people here. Makes for a nice day trip from Rome. Take the bus from Ponte Mamolo.

Always wanted to visit Villa Adriana and was not disappointed. Most beautiful and incredible historic site well worth a visit. Not the most easy of places to visit and bus stops are almost invisible to the naked eye making it hard to know where to catch the bus. About a 15 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Very poor visitor experience with no maps or advice on hand to know where to go. No catering to speak of and pathetic shed like structure to obtain over priced drinks from a faulty vending machine that gobbles up your money. Site is definitely more suited to the marble statues that are better looked after than living visitors. That said please go and have a look but bring your own drinks, food and lots of patience!

Expansive grounds give some idea of the life of a Roman emperor. A nice side trip on our way out of Rome.

Beautiful place, almost no tourists when we went, lots of water fountains to stay hydrated all along the site, informative (although perhaps mildly dull/uninteractive?) signs for many of the ruins. Beware if you go on a hot day though, especially in the afternoon; it feels desert like. Well maintained and potential great panoramic views (Brown Rock). UNESCO World Heritage Site!

Some great sights of amazing ruins that could really benefit from even a little information. The place is huge and amazing, but if you don't have a tour guide you'll be a bit under informed on what everything is. Still an amazing place.

Amazing place to visit. A lot of stone! But, when considering the historical facts and the still beauty of the pools that are in place it was a fantastic place to wisit. And we did it withouth a guide. Next time I will book a guide and spend all day at the site.

One of the best places I've seen in/around Rome. Enough of walking, long descriptions of the places. Reserve yourself at least few hours and maybe plan a picnic there. Stunning place.

Truly a remarkable site. You can spend an entire day here looking at the ruins. I would recommend a guide to help walk you thru the sites as this a very large area.

A big place with ancient ruins of Emperor H'adrian, beautiful gardens and and water-pools full of fish and turtles.

UNESCO World Heritage Site. Very interesting place, which shows us, how developed the ancient Rome was. Wonderful gardens, beautiful spa and Temple of Venus, just for instance.
