Tourist trap: great location, decent food, bad service, no toilets. That is the sum-up. I'm not sure how this place rated 4.1 on Google. It's worth at best 3 stars. The service is extremely slow. It's nearly impossible to get a waiter's gaze: they are trained to look the other way. They seemed bored and frustrated. But the toilets were the cherry on top. There were two long, disorganized lines, one for men and one for women. They were both running up some narrow stairs, while people had to come up from the toilets as well. At the same time, some employees went up and down the same stairs. At midpoint, the ceiling was so low everyone had to bend. Waiting while bending, really nice. When I got at the front of the line I asked the attendant, is there just one toilet? He said 'no, there are two, but one is broken.
The drinks are expensive. While this is expected for such a venue, the prices are not aligned with the quality of service.
Avoid, if possible, it's a tourist trap.response / report this review -

A must-try place just for the location. In front of the theater and the royal palace, rooms filled with luscious decorations. The coffee, to be fair, is not up to the fame.

Hit of coffee
My wife and i visited here as part of a Naples tour. Their deserts look stupendous, we had a cream filled pastry which was lovely. We also got small hit of their famous coffee Wow I didn't sleep on the way home.response / report this review -

Coffee is GREAT! No doubt smooth and delicious, but the drinks and cocktails are TERRIBLE! We all took a few sips and had to leave. The desserts were stale and with a cold smell. Loved the coffee but the rest of it was all down hill. Would go again for the coffee as that's the one thing they do well.

This is a historic place on a very good location (one star). The price you pay is for coffee and a (small) premium for having a look in this beautiful bar / restaurant (aka museum, one star). Lot of so called one time tourists, you can expect the service, price and quality of the quick bites & drinks relating to this (the remaining stars). If the service is getting better, it will be a 5 star. BTW Napoli is a great city with special people.

We came here for a little break after walking around Naples for a couple hours. It's packed so be prepared to get minimal service, but the sfogliatelle here was to die for and the interior is beautiful.

The famed bar for the "Caffè sospeso", that is, customers can pay in advance a coffee to whomever will come later. This practice goes according to the local belief that anyone (even those who cannot afford it) are granted a coffee in Napoli. I find this quite remarkable.

This is a very touristy spot, but the restaurant interior is very pretty and will hit the spot after walking round the nearby Palace. It has a large selection of desserts, which it's famous for. We had a savoury selection of tidbits, nothing to write home about. The desserts were nice, but similar to what you can get in most cafes in Naples.
