Generator Rome was nicely decorated, clean, staff was friendly. Spacious rooms, pillow and mattres not great but ok, huge lockers. Location is very good near the subway station and bus station. You get charged to leave your luggage.

About a ten minute walk from the main train station. Some would say the location is a bit sketchy, but I never felt unsafe. There's a metro station around the corner that will take you to the Vatican. The food at their cafe is average. No major complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice accommodations with friendly staff and tidy rooms. Stayed for only one night, so I didn't really get a good idea of the whole Generator experience though. But I liked what I saw.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Great location! Close to the Metro both Termini and Vittorio Emanuele. So clean and quiet. Great staff! I'm a big fan and can't wait to come back and stay again.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Front desk was always very helpful when prompted for suggestions. The area is very convenient for the trains but I can get sketchy at night

Don't get me wrong, this place is really nice and it has everything you need. Except the "meet people from all over the world" experience. Probably cause is more of a hotel than a hostel.

The location is convenient from the train station, as it's about a 5 minute walk! The staff is kind and willing to help, whether it's directions, asking for a place to eat, or something to do! The rooms are great, not fancy, but are great for a few days in Rome!

We stayed at the Rome Generator on opening night in September 2016. We chose a shared female room with a private bathroom. The accommodations are pretty standard for Generator, with bunk beds and lock boxes for each person. Unlike the London and Dublin locations, there was not really a great spot to just hang out. The bar is in a smaller room, and in the dining room we felt pressured to purchase food or leave.

The location is close to the train station, and we felt safe walking in the immediate area at night. Overall a decent stay, but we felt London and Dublin were more accommodating for longer trips.

Stayed here for a week, and it exceeded my expectations. The entire hostel (rooms, bar, cafe) is very clean and modern. The location is good, can be a little sketchy at night, but is less than a minute walk to the nearest Metro station. Which is super convenient. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly helpful and kind. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Rome!
