I would give no stars but sadly this is not an option. I have never reviewed a hotel before but my experience at this hotel was so bad it has prompted me to do so. After ACCIDENTALLY leaving my handbag in the airport taxi- the service organised for our return trip by the hotel I called the hotel to ask them to call the driver and return my bag, 5 mins had passed so he couldn't have gone far. After not hearing back from the hotel I called back 10mins later (thank goodness my partner was there so I could use his phone!) to be told the hotel would only call the taxi if I agreed to pay €50. Otherwise they would not instruct him to return with my handbag that had EVERYTHING IN IT (INCLUDING MY MONEY!!! When i told reception my money was in my handbag she angrily asked if I would pay or not!) I have never in my life known a hotel behave in such a disgusting manor and I will tell everybody I know about this incident and never, ever, ever would I recommend staying at this hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

A large complex with a strategic seafront position, decent facilities and bright public areas. We stayed in one of the mini villas nearest to the sea. From the outside these appear a little frayed around the edges but inside they have been completely done out and are fresh, light and simply elegant. Bathrooms are well-equipped and clean. We were less impressed by the two huge cockroaches; one on the curtain and one clinging to the back of a towel!
We stayed on a half-board package. Dinner - an all you can eat buffet affair - was something of a bun fight in a rather uninspiring low-ceilinged room which resembled a canteen. A great shame that from here there were no windows to make the most of the views, nor was there access to a terrace or outside dining space. Food was plentiful, if rather uninspiring, giving the impression that this restaurant is for refuelling rather than enjoying a pleasurable experience. Had we stayed longer, we would have preferred to dine in one of the a la carte restaurants which were much more inviting.
The gardens and public areas are well maintained and the poolside bar is a lovely spot for after-dinner drinks. With two good-sized pools, direct access to the sea, tennis courts, a kids' club and evening entertainment, the complex isn't short on facilities.
The main frustration though is the two-tier guest system with segregated areas for members of the D-Club (we believe a type of timeshare arrangement). With the pick of the spots and enhanced facilities reserved for members you can't help but feel like second-class citizens if you aren't part of the club.response / report this review -

So where do I start.. Domina coral bay hotel had quite undoubtley one of the worst hospitality I have ever experienced. We arrived at the hotel at a late time after traveling quite a while with our rental car. When we got to the hotel we were rudely told that our car could not be parked at the hotel ( in Italian) we were unsure as to why this would happen as we were aware that on the website it had informed us on the free parking and priority to guests of the hotel but this was obviously not true as many other things, for one the parking was 7 euros a day ( which is a ridiculous price to pay for a 2 week time period) . When we got to the reception we were greeted with rude hotel staff, which informed us with the minimal English they could speak that our reservation was not on their system and that the best thing they could do is put a group of 4 of us in a family room although we had payed for 2 separate rooms. Fighting with the parking attendants we were forced to find external parking in a remote and dim lit area, which seemed dangerous to park our car in. However the hotel held no responsibility for the advertisement of their parking or anything else for that matter. The next morning, we spoke to the manager which told us that our hotel booking was cancelled because of lowcostholidays going bankrupt so the only option was to pay again and have the family room because supposedly the hotel was fully booked. We payed double as well as not given any sympathy for the situation. We decided to stay seeing as at this point it seemed like we had no other option. We were greeted with persistent 'no space' for parking untill the last 4 days of our 2 weeks ,when we were finally given external parking that the hotel charged although they did not gate the area or keep anyone on foot to gaurd. furthermore we were greeted with the reality that the hotel was pretty much the only thing in the area and food anywhere in the sorounding area was priced quite highly/ there fore we were forced to go half board. The hotel restuarants prices were high and served food that was poor to decent quality . Make sure you stock up on water during the day as a bottle of water can cost you up to €3. The centre of Palermo is worth a visit ( cheap food options) / cefalu is also worth a visit. Do not visit Porticello. The pizzeria opposite the hotel is good for fresh fish (although a bit pricey) it's nice to get out of the hotel if you haven't got a car. Although be aware that the restuarant stops serving at 3pm (lunch) and resumes at 7pm.
The entertainment team is not really active during the night although very active during the day. But if you are like me and do not stay in the pool area, you will miss out on the activities. You will probably be forgotten by the men in the entertainment team and spoken to as if they had never seen you. Emanuela is one of the best people in the entertainment team and has such a positive and bubbly attitude and is really one of the best features of the hotel.
D club is a big thing in this hotel and you will often come second to these costumers. As they are quite distinctly paraded in the hotel/ private beach and pool/ eating space as well as towels and discounted prices.
English is not spoken very much, but they can comminute. Julia at the bar is very nice.
The location is good in terms of the private beach and the design of the hotel.response / report this review -

Cheaters!!!!! Clients who take and park a car from car rental which is in the hotel and of course parks all their cars here (sic!) are forced to pay for a car parking additionally and for even more days than they rented a car! And no one even mentions about it in advance! We had to pay but some other people who also rented a car - didn't! They cheat on people here, don't recommend it!!!!

Can't argue with the views. Stayed here while visiting for a friends wedding.
My family and friends could not argue with the service provided by the staff of the HZ.
Many of their staff spoke good English and were willing to help in anyway possible.
Breakfast was excellent.
