We were on a day excursion from a cruise ship docked nearby last second week of October 2017. Bought a hop-on-hop-off tour and was on the middle of the tour 1 when the bus broke down. We were told to walk to the terminal or next stop to wait for the next bus. We followed the instruction but did not find the stop due to lack of visible signage on the tour stop. Needless to say, we were worried and lost together with another american couple. Luckily, we were able to wait out the long span of time before the next bus showed up. we were frantically waving for the driver to wait for us on the next stop. After the jogging work out ----that we got as a bonus for the tour, we joined the next route to get our money's worth, or we are just sucker for punishment.maybe both. Anyway, the route 2 was not as pretty as route 1 but nevertheless I enjoyed the old and historic architecture of the city. Route 1 is obviously where the moneyed class lived while route 2 is more of the working class area. My comment for the tour bus company, please put some visible signage in all your bus route stop to save your customer some anguish when your bus breaks down unexpectedly, or better yet, provide some rescue bus to take your stranded clientele. Thank you.

The timetable can only be used as a rough guide because of the traffic but it at least slows the bus right down so you can have a good look around and it is a shame one of the three routes only runs at weekends. Other than that, it does what it says on the tin.

Great to see the sights of Napoli. A return ticket option would be nice as a lot of people ran out of time seeing all the sight which is easy to do.

Really not worth it. There is very little information in the commentary. It is mostly singing, very nice singing, but not information about Naples. The music is so loud that I had to turn the volume down and then up again when there was commentary. The stop numbers were NOT included in the commentary and the location was announced only in Italian. The bus did not follow the actual route in the brochure, apparently because of a concert, but this was not announced to us. When I asked where we were, the guide showed me on my map and this was wrong. We were right in front of the Duomo and she pointed out a completely different area on the map. We also had to wait 40 minutes to transfer between routes and there was a mob of people who tried (were pushing) to get on. A large number of people did not manage to get on. This indicates that they were running too few busses but they just kept selling tickets. A hop-on-hop-off-bus is usually the first thing I do in a new city so I can get oriented. This did not help at all. It is also the first bad experience I have had with this company. All others have been great and informative.

Gets busy and no shade
This is the main starting point for all the route and only 500m or so from the main cruise ship docking points.
The queues can be long and busses are every 30-35mins. You are out in the open so gets full sun
Once on the bus they are busy and very little movement of people so if you get off then it's tough to get back on!
Audio guide poor and non specific interrupted by stop announcements and the music is dreadful
Line B is more picturesque with great views over the bay to Naples and Mt Vesuvius

Audio guide is inaccurate and the music is in a short cycle. Be prepared for more music than tour guide. Seats have minimal leg room. Watch out for branches if on the top. Don't watch the road as there are some really hairy turns.

Wow we had the funniest driver. What a character! He seemed to know everyone around town and would call out their names and wave. Well worth taking both the small bus and the larger busses up the hill too!
