Good hotel for the price and travelers by train. High quality shower and bathroom. Strategic location for train travelers and could not be closer to station. Normally in Italy I would not choose a hotel this close to the station, but Parma seems very safe and we (2 females) felt comfortable walking home around 10-11. Also, Parma is a relatively small station and does not have any night trains passing through so it's quite. They start breakfast at 7, which is perfect for people wishing to do the parmigiano tours!
Very good and clean hotel with good proximity to train station, however location leaves a lot to be desired and very uncomfortable feeling at night with people hanging around.
We stayed four nights here last month (June). The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable – good value for quality and location. AC worked very well. There was a refrigerator and a small TV. Breakfast was standard with a selection of cold cuts, pastries, and fruit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location, right by the train station, is excellent for outings, and it’s a short walk to the town center. It was quiet and the surroundings felt safe. Our one complaint, though, was that the WiFi never worked in our room. We were able to use it in the hotel lobby, so it wasn’t a problem with our devices.
Great staff and close to business place
Non Italian speaker here, was pleased by the hospitality of the owner, decent rooms for the price, well placed in Parma. Would go again
Tuttavia, hotel straconsigliato.
We stayed at The Century Hotel in Parma in early April 2008. It was our first stop in Italy and we loved the City of Parma and The Century right across the street from the train station and a little park. It's simple trendy exterior gives no clue to the contemporary, comfortable and stylish lobby and rooms. The hotel staff are helpful especially the breakfast buffet staff who were bright and sunny and made our breakfast every morning a treat! The buffet breakfast is fabulous and the cappucinno, the best we had in Italy. I still dream of it! We highly recommend this hotel, one of our favorite's in Italy, in what turned out to be one of our favorite cities in Italy as well. Check out early to avoid the line in the lobby.
