This site was very expensive for what it offered. Sandwiched between the main railway line in to Genoa and SS1, and just beneath the autostrada it was VERY noisy. The trains ran all night, albeit less frequently. Only 3 amps electricity offered - not enough to boil a kettle. There was no free hot water on site for dishes or hand washing, and you had to pay extra for hot showers. We booked to stay for 2 nights but only ended up staying one. Much better places to stay a bit further down the coast.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the bathrooms were clean.

Very friendly staff, clean restrooms, shop should be closed because it offers absolutely nothing to be called shop, railroad and road too close to be a cosy place.

Great reception on arrival, friendly helpful staff. Busy coastal site. Facilities clean and tidy although could do with modernising. Relatively expensive but considering its location probably OK. Pitches quite tight and car has to be parked separately, which is also tight for big vehicles. But good night stop on route.

Horrible place ....one to take off your list ....small ...untidy and they don't supply enough electric to power a tooth brush...would not recommend this place at all

The camping is close to the beach, and you can tell that (many years ago) this camping was created and decorated with care. Now however, it is run down. It for example only has toilets without toilet seats and standing toilets. Come on! I haven't seen sanitary facilities like that in decades! Hot shower costs 50 cents per 4 minutes. Wifi is not free. Electricity is included in the price, but only 3 amps (less than 700W), which is vastly insufficient.
For this price, the camping is just not good enough.
Luckily the staff is friendly and not as outdated as the camping facilities.

Bring earplugs for the dog that barks all night across road on hilside farm. The road is a race track outside camp at weekends and the train passes every hour or so between site and beach. Site was not busy when we visited in April and they had just cut back all the trees to encourage new growth so it looked a bit barren. The site is secure though with fences and pass gates. Beach access was very broken though with huge boulders,so older folks wont make it. No shop open when we visited but toilets and showers were all cleaned daily. no toilet seats was weird for us but ive seen this in other italian campsites since. and the standing toilets.. Quite a walk to local town for shop market and restaurants but guessing by summer the 4 restaraunts along beach edge would all be back up and running. Good stop off point for a couple of days with motorhome was enough for us since we wanted someplace safe.

    Short Pros/cons:
    +Beach is ok/nice
+Market with many things (fresh bred, cheese, vegetables...) (prices still ok)
    +Bar with original italian Coffee-Machine
    - Expensive
    - Many restrictions (more regulated than other camping sites); very difficult,
    - Video Surveillance
    - No toilet paper
    - Warm/Hot Water not included for shower and dish washing
    - parking area in some parts is directly infront of the carava npitches, so leaving is pretty difficult for the caravans

    Long:
We stayed for one night, it was on the route of our trip after the cinque terre national park, we didn´t plan it before. I can´t believe that someone does permanent camping here.
For one night with 1 tent, 2 persons and one car we paid 30€ (the highest price from our trip through italy in comparsion to camping sites at Garda-lake, venecia, temü). Warm shower and warm water for dish washing was not included. You can take a cold shower, but you can´t use any of them. The warm water showers are only warm water and vice versa for the cold water. But there are only one or two cold water showers... Very annoying... The toilets are without paper, you have to bring with your own... Other people we talked to also said, that many uses this place for camping before taking the ferry to africa, and the would not come back.

We both also agreed, that it was our first and last time here.

Start positive: really close to the beach, OK pitches, one hour free WiFi and nice personnel!

Then the negative: train rails 1 to 50 meters from camping, heavy traffic next to camping, standing toilets which overflow when flushing, no warm water for washing dishes, no free (or in price) included warm water for showers.

It all feels like a camping from the 70's, where the most up-to-date items are the arcade's with mortal combat (1991 I believe...).

For us a once and no more experience.
