Beautifully located, well run with good, clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Bicycle loan available. Small site, family run. Would suggest checking availability rather than just turning up. We also got a bottle of wine when we left - thank you.

Lovely small camping. Host was very helpful and good at English. He had bikes for us to borrow for free to get around. Nice mini-supermarket and restaurant at walking distance. Our pitch had beautiful views of the Piona Bay and surrounding mountains. Sanitairy facilities where a bit old fashioned but clean. Overal good value for money.

This is a nice camping. The staff is nice, they lent us bikes for free.I could try windsurf also for free. The owner's son gave us cable for electricity because we didn't have it. He gave us also maps and advices, what is worth visiting. They were very helpful. + We got a bottle of wine as a gift when we left the camp site.

This campsite was amazing. Firstly the location is the best you'll get right on the lake and a quiet beach to relax on with other campers. The owner was incredible, being three young inexperienced campers with only a tent, he lent us adapters, bikes, a windsurfing board, tables and chairs. We were also shown many spots to choose from and told whether it would get shade and at what times. Granted the toilets are not five star but we never expected them to be after all it is camping and they were perfectly adequate. We were given a map which showed the closest supermarkets, banks etc only a short cycle away. This is an extremely peaceful, quiet campsite which was a perfect getaway from busy life and I would definitely return.

We spent the first week of August at Camping Piona di Colico and we really enjoyed the stay. The water is just a minute away form the camp spots. Our camp spot was right next to a little stream (perfect to keep things cold). People were really nice, we got to choose our spot, and communication in English and German was good.
The bathrooms are cleaned once a day and can be hosed individually after or before using it. Showering warm costs 1 euro which is often the case on campgrounds in Europe. People that shower hot and long should get more than one coin for the shower.
If you don't want to pay for a 5 star Campground then don't expect one! If you go to a Campground, don't expect a Hotel! If you go to a different country, don't expect people to adapt to your culture and communication habits!

This Campground has fair prices for what you get. I can really recommend Camping Piona di Colico!!!!

One of the worst experience in Italy so far. Bathrooms are disgusting, the toilets clogged and there was no hot water since the staff forgot to tell us we have to buy getons. The staff is very rude and without basic communication maners. However the camp is located in very scenic spot but that's all it has to offer.

im just shocked how rude someone can be! when arriving the "owner" came walking to our car saying "hi" while being busy on his phone when i asked if we could look around or its a camping to our likings he just answered "no" when i explained to him we might wanted to stay if it was nice he said he would show us a spot and he walked off without looking at us at all when he got near the area he just pointed somewhere randomly at some open spots where other visitors cars where parked. after saying we didnt like the spot he rudely awnsered "i already thought you wouldnt like it" and walked off again after getting back to the entrance my girlfriend said to him that its a good idea to work on his friendliness.. all he did was making a sexual gesture toward her and brag about how awsome he was we almost left the area cause of this disgusting man, but we found a nice camping at the other side of the lake.

Really unfriendly staff! Disrespectfull and no sense of hospitality at all. We didn't camp there because of the rudeness of the boss. Plus when we tried to ask him things about the campsite, he was just 'playing' with his phone. Not to forget, there is no shadow for campers with a tent.
