At first we were looking for an ideal campsite at the lake of Garda for a few days. According to the reviews It was an okay campsite with a 'charming' owner. When we arrived and saw the 4 stars banner, we had good hope. We were welcomed pretty nice and even though our italian is rusty, german was enough to arrange things.
The campsite itself is a maze through caravans, Little houses and tacky statues bought at the local statue store. Although we got a spot at the end corner of the campsite, It was pretty quiet. The parking in front of these places was awful and we were in luck that we have one of the smaller cars, or else There is no way of getting out of There.
The location of the campsite is pretty decent, Salo and other cute Little towns are close in a 25 min drive max. The access point to the lake itself is poor as the walkpath next to the lake it accessible through other people's personal space.
On the people working there, the first said owner was grumpy most of the time and short with sentence, felt like he was done with the summer and his patience was growing thin. The other guy who worked there was nice, helpfully and a lot more smiling. Also paying in cash is such a nuisance , but that is a personal thing more or less.
The toilets, showers and such were okay, we really don't need much. A little bit of more cleaning could do wonders.
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, it's fine I guess. Do not expect to much of it. If your budget is a bit higher, stay away from here because there are a lot of other places around the lake.
Right now me and my girlfriend (19-23 y/o) are staying at camping La Ca for 9 nights. The site is big enough for tents although some others are quite small (4/5). The swimmingpool is big, clean and you have to wear swim caps (5/5). A max 3 minute walk will take you to Lago di Garda wich has rough stones (bring swimming shoes). The sanitary cabins are not always that clean (dust/ cobweb in the corners) and there is not always hot water (literally cold).
The restaurante pizza is great and there icecream even better.
For kids there is no recreation team of some sort. But plenty of playground (tabletennis, pool, swings, free showers idk). Beside that, there is plenty of things to do nearby: Castle, huge shopping centre, beach bars etc. This camping would be 5/5 if it was't for the cold shower and unclean sanitary corners. (I don't get money for posting this) cheers.
Crowded, dirty, small parcels and rude receptionist. Don't waste your time and go elsewhere, there are lots of better and cheaper campings around the area.
Unfrendlich personal
Actually we called for 2 nights and changed our mind because the staff is not nice and polite. When we wanted to leave after one night they asked to pay for 2 nights. The reason : we stay until 11.15 am instead of 11.00 am for the check out.
Ask to pay an extra night for 15 min late : that is not far and even more rubbery.
Too bad when the camping have a nice location but when the staff doesn't fit the 4 star.
You can find better camping place in this area.
Quiet and well managed camping site.
It is situated right by the lake. There is a nice stretch of beach and a jetty right by the site.
I stayed a week with my family in one of their bungalows. It was very relaxing. The lake was so nice we did not even try the swimming-pool.
Very nice pool with a wonderful view over the lake,
Camping have a nice variety of trees and plants like a small botanical garden
Pretty much liked the time spent there, suggested
