Very nice selection of late 19th and 20th century at from Warhol and Liechtenstein to Chagall, Rodin, Sorolla and Klimt. Nice bright open and airy building.

This is a greatly underated art museum. I was visiting on a Saturday and there was almost no one else there despite the fact that the museum boasts some very nice modern art by worldclass artists (Warhol, Klimt, etc). The entry price cannot be the reason for its limited visitors as it is included in the museum pass which is 11 municipal museums for 24 euros grand total. The building is well-kept, the lighting on the art is good as well. If you're into oriental art then the topfloor shall be your destination. Overall I enjoyed this more than the Peggy Guggenheim collection, also in Venice.

Most of the art they had was beautiful. They had a wide variety, but definitely a smaller collection than you may find elsewhere. Everything from cubism to Impressionism to sculpture and glasswork. I was there during the David Hockney exhibition, which I enjoyed immensely. I also really enjoyed the oriental floor, which had some beautiful ancient scroll paintings. The gift shop was disappointing, and there wasn't really anything in there worth buying, unless you need a pencil. Overall, it was a little expensive, but lovely, and their cafe overlooking the grand canal was very nice. Would definitely go again! Also great to sit in the lobby working!

Went there with my daughter- 25 euros to see the thinnest collection of ordinary 20th century art I have ever seen. This museum should be free and even if it were I would think twice about visiting. No air conditioning, blinds falling apart, the place is suffering badly from lack of investment and clearly trying to find capital from extortionate entrance fees. Worth a glance from the Grande Canal at best.

Amazing modern art museum. The San Stae trio of museums are worth a visit themselves and rival in diversity what the San Marco museums have to offer. I was also fortunate to see a collection of portraits by David Hockney.

The collection is nice, the palace is awesome. Be shure to stop at the coffee shop that has a very nice view on the grand canal.
Also don't forget to visit the oriental art collection on the last floor: it's amazing expecially for the japanese arms enthusiasts.

Fantastic Palazzo gallery. Collection of 20th century art almost on a par with the Guggenheim, but far more spacious and fewer people. In fact, this was a ocean of calm in an overcrowded city. Also contains a floor of Oriental art, which has enough Japanese weaponry to equip a small army, in addition to ceramics, a beautiful chess set, and various other objects. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Some fantastic pieces of art. Only let down was that there was no klimt which was advertised everywhere.

Great museum. Splendid exhibition CHANEL: Donna che legge. We went back a second time. One drawback though, there was no catalogue for this incredible exhibition. And the staff in the bookstore should be more knowledgeable!

Good museum of modern art in a great building with Grand Canal access. Cafeteria has nice views of the canal. Oriental museum has full of different objects from China, Japan, etc.

Beside a single (but splendid) Klimt and a few other outstanding pieces of art, it houses a great little museum of Japanese craft on top. Wonderful views from the windows are a nice bonus.
