Rome is disgusting. I was completely put off by how bad the entire city is.
The Italians have inherited these beautiful cities and they have let them fall apart as they squeeze every tourist dollar they possibly can out of it as they pass it down to the next generation in even worse shape than they received it.
Our little Oasis in the visit was the Boscolo. Yeah, it was filled with other tourists, but they were higher end tourists who hire private guides and not the tourists who get in those huge tour groups that clog anyplace you go throughout the city.
I really liked their staff throughout the hotel and I really enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning. We got a suite in the wing with the open and exposed beams. It was beautiful. We also got one of the suites with the huge patios on the rooftop. That was such a nice experience in the evenings having cocktail hour out there.
In such a trashy city, full of scumbags and lowlife trash scammers every corner you take. Staying in such a nice hotel lets you have some solace that the entirety of Rome hasn't gone into the gutter.response / report this review -

More than 5 star treatment, right in the center of Rome, 3 mins walk to the Roma Termini, excellent staff, beautiful rooms, perfect stay. Highly recommended for families and the tourists on a tight schedule in Rome.
The staff was really helpful, the taxi stand is right across the road, the souvenirs shops are very close by and you can get very good ones at one euro. You can even get obike from its parking. An excellent place and highly recommended.response / report this review -

Spent a few days in this hotel recently and had a fantastic stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the chamber maids were practically invisible, and they allowed us a very late check out on departure.
The breakfast was varied and delicious, and there was plenty of space and light in the morning, it really set you up for the day.
I am learning Italian and the staff were very patient and helpful.
My four stars is not a negative, it only reflects that my stay was too short to give a fuller review.response / report this review -

One of the very nicest hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed in alot. Location is amazing with a metro right outside the door. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the room was top notch.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff at reception were very efficient and friendly. We had a stunning spacious room in the old wooden part of the building which we loved because of its character. Breakfast was superb, so much choice. Would highly recommend staying here.

Why does anyone even need to review this place. It's Roman opulence last seen during the days of the Empire. I would live in this hotel if I could.

Hotel is very close to Termini Station. The lobby is on the smaller side, but is quite nice. My room was large and clean. The decor is traditional. My room had a window looking on to a walked patio, no view and limited natural light. Breakfast room on second floor if you're American and first floor if you're not. Breakfast is free for Marriott Gold guests. Breakfast is fine. Can get very busy. Beds are hard and pillows are not so good. Sheets seemed odd too. Was quite annoyed that the front desk didn't keep small change for guests. I couldn't get 1 Euro coins or 5 Euro bills. Small bills and coins are vital for purchasing public transit tickets. Machines seem to be broken and won't always accept bills, but coins work. Also small bills and coins are good for taxis or tips for bellmen.

Beautifully decorated..rooms are spaciousstaff are wonderful hydragacial experience at spa is amazing great breakfast buffet good location (20 minutes walking to the Spanish steps) the opera house directly behind it.

Enchanting place. I had my wedding party in here. Super-central; iconic building and five stars luxury service. The catering was superb, not to mention the location setting, with plenty of flowers and romantic lights. From the roof garden it was possible to enjoy a breathtaking view onto the eternal city. I strongly reccomend this place if you're up to a luxury wedding party
