  Vestal virgins were in charge of maintaining the Vesta temple sacred flame burning. They served for 30 years after that they were allowed to marry, loose chastity and received a ton of money.

  Não sobrou muito do edifício, mas a história do local e das pessoas que o frequentavam o torna especial. Só as virgens que mantinham o fogo de Roma aceso e o imperador podiam entrar lá.
