Attending a conference so can't speak for the rooms. However, great views from the large terrace. Very good food.

Pros:
- beautiful location
- good breakfast
- staff was friendly
So things why I think it does not deserve more than a three star:
- rooms are just basic and definitely needs upkeep
- amenities are no better than a 3 star place
- charging €7 per cup of espresso and €2.50 for seating charge is beyond outrageous!!!
- "free" bus service times are so limited that you can't really advertise as having free service to Taormina.
Taormina is ridiculously expensive because apparently tourist will pay outrageous sums of money for average quality and this hotel is an solid example of that.

Amazing location overlooking Naxos bay and looking up towards Mr Etna. Stunning views and they offer a bus shuttle in Taormina downtown. Not walkable due to traffic and narrow hilly roads with switch backs. Hotel has beach side and pool / cove swimming accessible by elevator and carved tunnel. Lots of chairs for sunbathing and soaking up the views. Breakfast buffet on the terrace has many choices and the service is very friendly. Dinner at the restaurant by the pool was also top notch. We shared a local fresh caught fish (Lupo or Wolf). Delicious and was less expensive taking everything into account.

Outstanding service, immaculate views, large rooms, and amazingly clean. Absolutely one of the best hotels I've visited in my life. My only complaint is that I didn't stay longer. Beautiful.

Excellent location and services. Friendly and helpful staff. Phenomenal views overseeing the Mediterranean Sea. We have traveled around the world extensively and would rate Atahotel Capotaormina one of the top 5.

Great hotel with a view to die for. Very good breakfast and friendly service from the staff. Take the elevator down to the cave below the hotel and walk through it to enjoy a saltwater pool or a swim in the ocean. Highly recommended!

Truly an amazing place to stay for vacation. My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and it doesn't get more romantic or relaxing than here near the sea. Their breakfast is superb and there is plenty to do in town during the day and evening. Coming back for dinner in the hotel with some of the best wine we've had is perfect.
