What a brillant experience, saw the seals playing and swimming in the sea. There where quite a few, A Truely wonderful site, rock pools and walks, wildlife,mountains, white sands. Lovely.

When I saw some comment's in google maps I wasn't expect that I will have chance to see any seals on this beach. I was wrong. It was outflow, and some seals lay on the rocks near the beach. There was five seals on the rocks, three swan and one duck in the water. It was first time when I saw seals in natural environment! I definitly recommend this place. It is on the way to Snaefellsjoekull National Park (road 54). Really turn to the beach and try to experience the nature!

We went in July during the evening hoping to see seals, and we were rewarded! We so about 20, all very far away. If you own binoculars, bring them. The seals blend into the rocks. You'll have to climb over some big rocks in order to view the seals, so wear appropriate shoes. This is a must for animal lovers!

A beautiful beach to visit. We didn't see the seals but were lucky enough that the road to the beach was passable. What amazing views we had, as you'll see from the photos I posted. I'd love to see what this place looks like over the summer months too.

Best place to view Seals. I was in Iceland in May and we could see a group of seals in this Beach. Its a Beautiful place, its a private beach so you have respect that.

Highly recommended stop if you like to watch seals play around and bath in the sun.

We stopped or car and walked about 200 meters right of the information sign. Around 9:00am we saw 2-3 seals. By 9:30 there were about 12 of these playing and roaring and holding their grounds.

This place is great! Most people there didnt have the patience to see the seals and were frustrated, but if you look carefully and keep away from the crowds, you'll see them. It was so wonderful to see these amazing animals in their natural habitat!

Very pretty beach. We were lucky enough to spot a few seals. It was a bit tricky to get closer for a photo - lots of rocks to scramble over. Glad we went though.

We loved coming here and watching the seals poke their little heads out of the water. Definitely a nice stop if you're doing a tour around Iceland.

It's one of the stops you want to make when you go around the Snaefellsnes.

It's not a "beautiful beach", but it's a unique environment. There are large rocks and algae scattered all over the beach. Most of the time, you can spot seals laying on some rocks far into the sea. They're far, so bring binoculars and/or a large zoom to see them!

Don't expect seals up close, but there are indeed seals hanging out on the rocks far out, at least during low tide. Lots of folks roll through here, but it's a nice spot to take a break (particularly if cycling the peninsula), and large enough to find a quiet corner.

Must stop place if you are in West Iceland. Its located on the 54 road. The beach offers a great view of seals. When we visited (1 June), there were about 6 we could see. They are a little out so if you want to take pictures of them makes sure to bring a good zoom lens.
