  Beautiful Church built just around the riverbend. It has great view of wide river and the iron bridge that crosses it. If you stop by Selfoss you must pay a visit. Expensive restaurante in Hotel Selfoss nearby but cheap places to eat too like Subway or a Hotdog hut.

  The classically Nordic Skálholtskirkja church is also not far from Selfoss. Just a short drive down route 35 to route 31 and just south of Reyholt, the church was consecrated in 1963 by the bishop of Iceland.

  Þar sem ég get ekki hugsað mér að missa séra Óskar H. Óskarsson frá Selfosskirkju, fer ég þess á leit við sóknarnefnd að sóknarbörn fái að velja sér prest og íbúakosning fari fram um málið.
