Stunning building with a great view over the lake. A must visit to find information about not only Reykjavik but Iceland in general.

We went there to see the 3D map but it was gone due to a temporary exhibition. Nevertheless the building is interesting on its own and inside you can find all kinds of touristic information and book tours.

The 3D map of Iceland is cool, there are public bathrooms but only 2 stalls (in women's room) so the wait is long, supposed to be free wifi but it wasn't working when I visited, useful road maps in visitors centers but the guides in the visitor center are all things the companies pay to be in- most of the best restaurants I ate at aren't listed, same with some exhibits, etc.
To be fair I didn't speak to the visitor center staff so I can't say how they were

Free wifi, bathrooms, maps and houses of all parts of Iceland. You can also talk to real people at several info desks that can answer all your question and help you book any type of tour you want.

There is also a big model of Iceland which is interesting to see especially after making the drive around the country.

I was unimpressed with this shack they call "City Hall". It was an absolute dive. Utterly infested with rodents. Guinea pigs were everywhere. I had never seen so many Guinea pigs. It was bizarre. I was very confused and probably should not have consumed so much lsd.

City Hall itself is nice to visit and the view of the lake is beautiful. I bought two day city card, and realized that the woman staff wrote in a wrong date after a while. I bought the card right after the arrival to the nation and I did not check the date. Be sure to check the date when you buy a city card! Mistake happens.

Helpful information for tourists is located here. I would recommend you pick up a map of Reykjavik here. We took the free shuttle bus to kringlan mall too. It was completely free.

Not the most beautiful building from the outside, but there is a big maquette of Iceland. It's nice to look around for like 5 minutes, after that it will become a bit boring. There are clean public toilets for free.

Everyone who visits Iceland should go there! It has a large relief map of Iceland, models of Reykjavík, as well as lots of maps, information, for free! I went there after a trip around Iceland and it was great fun to look back to all details on the large map. Lots of love and thoughts were put into making this place and you can feel it.

The building looks nothing modern from the outside, it looks like old building next to the big pond. But when you walked inside, it looks amazing next to the pond. The tourists information center is probably the biggest in Iceland, so much of information around.

Nice building, with the small lake next to it.

Inside, there's a large 3D map of Iceland. It's interesting.

Located near downtown with a parking garage. Even though it looks great in pictures, the waters are full of trash.

Beautiful building situated right on the lake I'm the centre of Reykjavik. I wish the city hall at home was this nice.
