During our travels around Iceland, my lens got dirty and my photos had black spots on them. I started panicking but managed to easily find Reykjavik Foto on Google. On our trip from Vik to Akranes, we stopped in Reykjavik and were immediately helped by a friendly man, free of charge. Thank you Reykjavik Foto for the great service!

On vacation in Iceland and my Nikon camera stopped working. Took my camera to FotoVal and they were able to find the problem. Unable to fix it because needed to order parts. I was able to purchase a used camera body for a great price. Super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Wish they were located in USA.

So this dumb turist (me) forgot the right stuff for my camera, when i went to Iceland. I went into this store and met a really friendly cashier, with good knowledge about cameras. He helped me getting the right stuff and further more, he cleaned the lince on my camera without me having to ask for it.
So if you lack anything for cameras, this is the #1 go to store in Reykjavík :-)

This shop and the amazing staff saved my visit to Iceland! I forgot to pack my camera's battery charger and they helped me out by letting me charge my batteries in their store. He refused any payment for the service. A great example of the kindness you receive from the Icelandic people, he was happy to help in my moment of need. My northern lights tour was a success as a direct result of his help! About the store, prices are reasonable when you consider where you are and that it is not always easy to import thing here, staff are super helpful and kind and it was the only place open on a Saturday. They have a lot of different things available and a comprehensive website too. Worth a visit, even if your just saying "thanks" again on my behalf! Thank you!

Gentlemen in here were extremely helpful! I have a GoPro4 (which I guess I’m out of date because they’re on 5 or 6 now) and my waterproof casing broke. The man working told me they stopped making the cases for the 4 but he pulled out a bag of older accessories and found me a case for my GoPro. I don’t want to say it saved my trip because the experience was amazing but he added to it for sure. I got amazing video and photos from snowmobiling and snorkeling silfra and it was all thanks to the guys at the camera shop! Thank you guys!

Closed at 11 am on a weekday? Is it because of the festival?

Decent small photo store - seemingly the only one in town. Owner was fairly helpful and they had the best selection we found anywhere. Expensive, but not relative to Iceland.

They have a lot of stuff you'll need if you forget. Note store hours and it is a bit pricey compared to home, but so is everything else in Iceland.

It is a good place to buy camera and all related accessories. If you are travelling to Iceland and buy something from here, they give you the tax reclaim receipt by which you can reclaim your taxes at the airport.

The staff were friendly but they lacked selection that you could find at some of the larger camera stores in Reykjavik.
