  Very beautiful red sand beach, impressive views, specially from the road going down there. Yet, be prepared to endure a dangerous twisted descent and 9 km of gravel road.

  I enjoyed this place a lot. Drinking tea in the tiny kafi hus and watching the sheeps on the beach!

  Definitely "out of this world"! Raudisandur is unlike anything I've seen in Iceland. The tide was low when we were there so I could walk on the sand with a "tiger" pattern. The reflections in the water, the dramatic skies, the surrounding hills it all contributed to a unique atmosphere. Ah, yes, there's a waterfall as well (surprise, surprise:)).. when we were there, they were working on a camping place. There was nobody there, but the facilities could be freely used.

  Very scenic and secluded beach. There was basically no one there when I visited. While it was pretty cool, I wouldn't recommend making a special trip just for this location. It is a good stop if you happen to be in the area, but it's not the greatest thing you've ever seen. That said, it's definitely not a disappointment.

  Unfortunately it got dark quickly once I made it here, as the sand beach really comes at its best in sunlight, but nevertheless really nice and different
