Went by a couple of places in town looking for a beard trim and they all said I had to come back in 2+ hours. I was confused because there was nobody in their shop. I didn't know if this was a cultural thing or not but I politely excused myself and went on my way.
I had almost given up but remember reading about this place. Not only was it down the street from where I was staying but it was the perfect barbershop!
It has all the things you would look for in a traditional shop. The young guy who cut my beard knew his stuff and was great to talk with. I could really feel his passion for this lost art.

Stumbled across this place on one of my walking excursions out of the Reykjavik tourist zone. Walked in with no appointment and was seated in a few minutes. About double the price I pay in Canada but wife says it's the best haircut I have had in years.

Un père et son fils pour barbiers, service au top. Savoir-faire qui ne date pas d'hier ! Je recommande vivement ! Rdv uniquement de 16h à 18h, le reste du temps c'est sans rendez-vous.

It's very picturesque. Great barbers, great service. In my opinion the best barbershop on Iceland. Would definitely visit again.
