The tour was phenomenal. The guide had outstanding knowledge of chocolate, and was quite friendly. Although most importantly, the chocolate was some of the best I've had.

DO THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY TOUR!! Our guide, Kyle, was so knowledgeable about their "Bean to Bar" chocolate, and we learned a lot about how the chocolate is created. Be prepared to sample a TON. You definitely get your money's worth on the samples alone. We were able to try every bar they have for sale, as well as some that were in their test kitchen. Their chocolate has also won many international awards, so you know you're eating good chocolate!

This is a must do for anyone visiting Reykjavik.
The tour brings you from bean to bar with tasting nearly every step of the way from cocoa beans (fermented and dried chocolate beans/seeds) to bars and other confectionery delights.
The guide was excellent and entertaining. We were surprised by the amount of chocolate treats we got (hot chocolate drink, cocoa, coarse 80% chocolate, multiple single bean dark and milk chocolates, chocolate creations that are not available commercially, and more.)
Highly recommend, you will learn so much and likely come away appreciating chocolate anew.
An aside, the prices in their shop are much better than we found elsewhere.

A fantastic tour! Kyle is fantastically knowledgable in all things chocolate. We ate so much chocolate (such great quality chocolate too) I skipped lunch afterwards. I would highly recommend thus tour. So much love in creating their products. Everything is hand-packaged and beautifully balanced in flavour. My favourite was the Madagascan dark.

The most amazing tour I’ve ever been on. It will cost me a lot more than the ticket because after tasting this amazing chocolate even Lindt taste bad. I have to figure out a way to buy it Europe.

On the chocolate tour which takes place a couple of doors down from the main shop. Tour is in English and Icelandic. First thing we do is put on hairnets and shoe nets. After that a lengthy discussion on beans with some tasting of some roasted beans. Very entertaining.
Main tasting was of the three single origin bars - Madagascar, Nicaragua and Tanzania and then in the shop was a tasting of each of the bars they sell. Both at the start and end you can try the malt balls as they are available to taste freely at the main desk.
We also got to try three types that were being developed, a vegan option and one that tasted like burnt toast.
Good value and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Would definitely come again.

We bought two boxes for gift giving but honestly I may eat them all up myself, who needs friends anyway? These really are the best chocolates I've ever had. Even the Lakkris bar was subtle and balanced. The staff are super friendly and eager to share knowledge about the chocolate or Iceland in general. We were lucky to be in Reykjavik during the free rainbow popcorn giveaway. They may have more events in the future that are worth adding to your trip itinerary!

Amazing place! We took the factory tour, while it cost around $30 a person, it was worth it. The chocolate is of a quality that I have never experienced before. They even let you try the different roasted cacao beans. Our tour guide Kyle was fantastic, he was funny and knowledgeable, and loved chocolate. We got to try all the different bars they sell and even some things that aren't for sale. It was a real highllight of our trip and you don't hear about it in any of the guide books!

Amazing single source chocolates. The owner is a great guy and explains everything very well. With the walk to check this place out, plus there are a few good bars on the way.

Some of the best chocolate I have ever had. The owner was very polite and explained the chocolate selection and making process. Even though this is a bit of a walk from town it was completely worth the visit.
