Beautiful little find in Reykjavik it's far out from downtown (40minute walk) but the beach is clean he hot spot is clean and all the facilities are clean. It's free all summer June 15 - August 15 and after those dates it's only 600ISK. Very local scene, a lot of cold water swimmers.

Great experience. Free in the summer. Very pretty - very local. Towels rented for 600 kr. Several areas to swim/sit at different temperatures. Hot water pumped into man made lagoon in the ocean. Changing room with showers. No lockers.

Cool location for swimming. Closed for Easter holiday April 14 - May 1 2017. Still a nice place to see the "beach". Excellent walking/biking path in the area.
