So in love with Mai Thai - easily one of the best curries I've had in Europe and it's a plus that it comes with an affordable price tag. The staff are lovely too. One of my top recommendations for cheap eats in Reykjavik!
I loved this place! I didn't check out the supermarket side, but after a failed attempt at eating lunch at Hlemmur Mathöll across the street, this was perfect. I had been wanting to eat here anyways, so it worked out well in my favor.
I had the chicken pad Thai for 1.800 krone (or somewhere thereabouts). It was so delicious and a good portion. If I was a local, I would make this a regular spot.
Food was good, staff was polite, and service was quick. It's basically a grocery store with a tiny restaurant in front. You will smell like curry after lol
Absolutely delicious curries and better value than most of the food we ate in Reykjavik. It's a tiny cafe set in the front of a supermarket and there's limited seating but you can take out or wait - turn around was quite quick. Cooked from scratch in front of you and decent portion. I had the red curry and it was fabulous. Pad Thai also good. Do not miss this place!
The red Thai curry and chicken in oyster sauce were fantastic. Good food. Good value
Wow, what a cool place! The staff here are so friendly and the food so tasty, possibly average prices, maybe even cheaper for Iceland. Very clean inside , always a good sign.
Had the yellow curry with chicken, the ingredients and spices were spot on! The prices are inexpensive for Reykjavik, 2,000 ISK for a meal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great dinner that won't break the bank!
Food was spot on. Almost gave it 4 stars as the portions are smaller than I'm used to but the staff friendliness and good tastiness made up for it. All four of us enjoyed our meals (pad thai, green curry, veg stir fry, matsaman curry). Serves beer if you're into that and has a supermarket joined up.
Took the recommendations on this site and TA. Excellent green and red Thai chicken curry served with jasmine rice, adequate portions for hungry people! Total with a Gull beer 4174 Isk. Not expensive for Iceland!
Back for lunch another day.
Restaurant has good food and fast service. Their fried rice and noodle soups were outstanding. Definately on the authentic side, even more so in Iceland.
We popped in for a quick lunch, and were really happy with the quality of the food and the presentation. The staff are cheery and helpful, asking how spicy you want the dishes etc.
There are 4-5 tables in a bright elegant location, in front of the store selling Thai/asian essentials at reasonable prices.
Thoroughly recommended, as locals, we will be back.
Good and inexpensive restaurant. I recommend it.
Great food, nice people, good price!
Very good Tai food. We went there two consecutive nights.
Overpriced but they have stuff here that's difficult to find elsewhere. Not much variety though. It's basically just a convenient store
So good! The best thai in town.
