Being from the States I was disappointed with the lack of options and prices. But, everything is ridiculously expensive in Iceland. If you need something like cough medicine, you will find it but u will most likely find only one brand. It reminds me more of a small town pharmacy than a major chain.

The staff were very helpful here. They said that they don't have "cold medication" in Iceland but they provided me with advice on various other products I could use to manage my symptoms. Nearly all medicated products are kept behind the counter. Reasonable prices, wide variety of products. Like a mini-CVS.
