  Wonderful walk, going all the way around the mountain, with boardwalks and stairs over rougher spots, and past all sorts of volcanic activity: different formations, geothermal gasses, bubbling mud-pools, stark lava fields with massive splits, and even some interesting plant life.

  One of the most impressive active lava fields we have seen in Iceland. Has it all; blacker than black lava fields, bubbling mudpots, colorful fissures, volcano cones, the lot. It has a very otherworldly feel, like walking on another planet.
