This is about 120km from Reykjavik as the tour bus took us on a 500km journey to Hofn where we went to for the glacier walk and ice caving. The supermarket is clean and is a welcome stop to buy supplies! Interesting to see small containers of fermented shark on the shelf! They stink!! I was told they used to be made from urine, now replaced by ammonia?? Ooh! We were all treated to a piece! Dry fish are also common around here!

a good experience for a foreigner in Iceland, couldn’t understand the language but the staff and the locals were assisting us very well. We found the prices to be average. We were able to try some of the local food items

I was able to purchase horse meat here. It is the only place I've ever purchased horse meat.

Stopped in here before the start of a Golden Circle. Good place to grab food, water, and a quick bathroom break (very clean).
