Absolutely beautiful. We were here on a sunny day near the end of June and kirkjufell liked magnificent. It was honestly breath taking, I’d highly recommend going here, it’s worth the trip.

One of the most incredible views in Iceland even on a day when it's raining sideways. Highly recommend. Easy hike up and around the falls with a small parking area.

This is one of the iconic views of Iceland and you will see it at the airport in a massive poster so visit if you get the chance. All around here it is very scenic, this is just the best bit. The hill is very distinctive standing alone with its fin shape. Needless to say everyone stops here and parking is limited but worth walking round it.

Everything about this general area is spectacular. It is so scenic it is surreal. The falls are nice but the surroundings are amazing.

Probably one of the most beautiful places in Iceland, which have to be visited at least once during your holiday.Located about two hrs away from Rejkyavik the road trip to the location will spoil you with some gorgeous landscape views.One thing to be noted is the weather which changes very quickly. In my case I went there twice, once during the day and once at night. Both times the weather was against us as you can see from the pictures, the wind was very strong and cold in February (the real feel was -15 even though the temperature was showing -4)

came here on a wonderful wet and windy day. The waterfall was being blown backwards as were we. stunning landscape all around. came back for a calmer look the nxt morning.

One of the very first waterfalls on my trip and it didn't disappoint. Definitely worth your trip up here, regardless if you are a Game of Thrones fan or not.

Firstly, yes this is a popular location because it was used to shoot some important scenes in Game if Thrones. It is a beautiful location worth seeing, just be prepared for all the ice that’s everywhere in the winter,m, you’ll definitely need crampons. There are stairs to go up top if you want to.
The nearby town was my personal favorite of the whole trip, especially the coffee shop and restaurant combo, as well as our hostel.

Often considered one of the most photographed waterfalls in Iceland, despite the fact that many tourists do not have it in their itinerary. The view is simply stunning, especially with a low sun and (in my case) a winter icy scenery. Bring warm clothes however as it can get quite cold during winter (there is also a short walk from the parking spot to be taken into account on an icy / slippery path).

To be honest it's nothing special compared to the rest of Iceland, but that doesn't mean it's not stunning because the whole country is. If you are in this region stopping here is worth it. The neighboring town is a great place to stay for a night too.
There is a tiny parking lot here so you may have to loop a few times before someone leaves.
The walk to the "best" look out point is a short few hundred meters and a little inclined but nothing compared to many of the big hikes in Iceland. It's flat by comparison.

Definitely a must-see when traveling through Iceland! The waterfalls are breathtakingly beautiful during the winter and the path to go up to them is extremely slippery, luckily there’s some rope to mark the paths which can be used to prevent you from sliding all the way down.

Waterfall is very nice it is in two stages. You can make very nice pictures with one separate or with both waterfalls. Depends on your skills making photos and equipment you have.

Natural wonder. Enough said. A must stop if you are in Iceland. Make sure you bring crampons as the road could be quite slippery during winter, many people slipped and fell, myself included.

Not as grand as other falls in Iceland. It's worth checking out if you happen to pass by. Try to go at sunset when the mountain behind is lit by the orange glow.

As you've seen in a hundred photos, the spot is beautiful. I also highly recommend trekking at least a ways up Kirkjufell proper. VERY steep climb, but some beautiful views.

While it's pretty much what you'd expect with the cliche picture of the falls in front of the mountain, the falls are bigger than I expected. But what's truly amazing is the mountains on the other side. Absolutely gorgeous. Who knew‽

Small but beautiful, especially when photographed with Kirkjufell in the background. An easy trail goes all around the waterfall. Cross to the other side for the classic photo of the falls and mountain.

The famous waterfall looking over Kirkjufell is a lovely spot. It can be a bit crowded but there are also some other great angles of the lovely mountain so take a walk/drive around and don't just take the same photos as everyone else!

Aloha! Absolutely a must see location in iceland. Small simple waterfall but amazing due to it simply beauty. It lies across the road from kirkjufell mountain. It's an easy hike up the hill and we get to pet horses. Bring your tripod and neutral density filters for photographers.
