Very good. Wild and beautiful place. Kind personnel. When we were there it was a horrible windstorm, so the owners proposed us a bungalow for free because we couldn't install the tents with this wind.

We had a room with our own bathroom. It was located in one of the little houses right at the entrance of the area. It was very clean and looked relatively new. The lamp soup (in German: Eintopf) was very tasty. Also the breakfast in the morning was good.

Fantastic location.
The scenery is the reason to visit here and it's well worth it. Since there aren't any alternatives it's certainly worth a visit. Be aware however that the accommodations are very basic.
Also your better off bringing your own food - the dinner selection is best avoided.response / report this review -

We camped here for one night in August 2017. The setting alone is stunning, and very close to the amazing Kerlingarfjöll sulphuric springs.
Staff here are friendly and welcoming; nothing is a problem for them, you feel welcome..
We camped, and the shower facilities and kitchen where absolutely fine for what we needed. They are commendably clean, with the insistence of removing shoes when in the shower/wc.
If you're a working traveller, there is no wifi but there are charging points in the restaurant.
Overall this was a memorable and charming site to camp set in stunning surroundings. It is looking to expand, and I hope it can retain it's character and beauty as it does so.response / report this review -

It you want to experience the highlands of Iceland then this place is excellent.
Beautiful scenery and amazing place.
A bit rugged and simple but nice and enjoyable.

Kerlingarfjöll “The old woman's mountains, ” is an exciting place to visit in Iceland and a must, if you are planning to travel in the Highland and looking for things to do in the Highland. Positioned in the middle of the Icelandic Highland Kerlingarfjöll is a cluster of rugged mountains. Placed between two glaciers. Most of the mountains are steep and around 800 to 1500 meters high. Although all of the mountains in the cluster have their individual names they are usually referred to by their common name, which is rare in Icelandic landscape, as most mountains have their own strong identity. The campsite is fairly good for a highland campsite. I would give the camp site and facilities two to three stars.

Scenery was amazing and the drive up to the mountains was incredible. Well worth the trip. The actual Resort was closed though despite saying open all winter, even though we visited early October. Disappointing as well expecting a hot meal. Phone ahead of arrival.

I been here on campsite - very good quality. Big kitchen, nice bathroom, big area for tents, helpfull stuff. Area is amazing and 3 days circle trek - hard but wow.

The surrounding is beautiful, yes. But they ask insane price for accommodation. Being charged that, we were placed in a building which is rather construction site with lot of continuous disturbing noise from trucks, drills etc. Room not very cosy. Staff not much communicative. The prices for dinner - OMG Overall not very good
