  BEautiful views of the lake! We took this route to go back to Reijkavik after spending the day on the west part of the island we loved it! The views are incredible and definitely woth taking the detour

  Ce lac est magnifique. J'y suis allée 3 fois et c'est toujours une unique expérience. Les couleurs sont superbe. Je recommande !

  Amazing view of the lake but be careful as the rocks can be slippery in winter from the ice.

  We found this overlook on our last day in Iceland, after a long drive along the south shore. This might be the most dramatic vantage point of our two week stay. The elevation above the lake and the snow covered mountains to the east and the black sand shoreline make this a must see. Also a very short drive from downtown (35 minutes).
