The perfect hidden natural hot spring with a little house to change clothes. It is on privat property, but the owners seem to be okay with people using it. There is a voluntary 1000 ISK donation for their effort to maintain it.
Parking spot just nearby and even marked on Google Maps.
As it is not as hidden as it used to be, expect it to be crowded sometimes. I personaly like to enjoy the sunset an drink a beer in the hit water as well, but please take your trash with you, it is not that hard!

Finding this place was a delightful surprise. The experience is all that you expect from a natural hot spring. The pool is man-made, but with no artificial aftertaste. The hot temperature of the water makes even a winter bath dwlightful and worth seeking this little gem. The location is not that obvious but quite easy to reach by car. There is a voluntary fee of 1000kr, that has been the best money spent so far in Iceland.

Want a real Iceland experience.. this is where you will find it without a doubt. We were there for over 2 ours, relaxing in the warm 37/38 degrees Celsius water!

the cutest little spot, secluded with the most clear water (and doesn't smell horribly of sulfur). it is definitely warm enough in the winter, without being too hot to sit for hours. we went twice because we loved it so much!

This place shouldn't get more attention. It's better the less people come there.

Temperature of water inside the tub is just perfect. It was a beautiful starry night which I will never forget. (Late September)

Hot thermal spring in the middle of nowhere. Only local people know it or those who someone explain how to get there. Amazing experience in the night.
Tip: if you go in the night time, make sure you have at least one torch or phone (be careful with the water) with you because the place is absolutely in the darkness, otherwise make ready your eyes for the moon light.

Super authentic Icelandic experience. No change rooms or showers just a little hut to change in. A box to drop off money. No lights anywhere. A bit of a hike to get to but well worth it.

The hot spring itself is cute and small, barely fits 4 people. We didn't soak in it since my family wasn't in the mood, but I totally would've. Still, the surrounding area is peacefully beautiful. Note that the photo is not the pool itself, but rather a nearby stream that caught my eye.

We had a lovely time. Thanks so much to the property owners for keeping it open. Please bring 1.000 ISK per person over 16 to help them cover the costs. Two pools and a changing area - enough for two groups to enjoy the springs together.

Really beautiful natural hot spring. Please keep it clean. Do not leave any trash. It's private land, and the owner is kind enough to allow people to visit the place. So please do your part, it's not lot to ask.
