Truly a must-stop if you're passing through. Also an excellent stop if you have an hour or so to kill, waiting for the ferry to Stykkishólmur.

Lovely stop. Good view of the ocean. Sun reflecting on the still water of the hotpot. Free, with a donation box. Water slightly below ideal at about 36/37warm enough to stay in for as long as you want, a little chillie when you get out.

We came here in October. Drove 3 hours to get here. The parking area had 3 cars in it and all the members of the cars were in the tiny spring. While we sat in our car and waited for people to clear out, more cars arrived. We decided it wasn't worth the wait and didn't want to cram ourselves into a small hot pot with a bunch of hippies.
