We stopped late at night in our campervan. Had warm welcome in the morning, good breakfast and super hot and clean showers. Perfect !

A bit run down in general, but still a comfortable stay.
Super friendly staff (from Lithuania) catered to our specific needs.
Dinner in the restaurant was OK and actually affordable.
Rooms were neat and clean. Same for the shared bathroom.response / report this review -

Friendly staff, especially the young man with the scarf (he kindly knocked on all doors to inform that northern lights are visible), good breakfast, rooms are old but ok, shower wasnt clean and the water did run off very slow. Wifi was also very slow up to a point that it was unusable. I guess they have too small bandwith for the number of guests. Billiard table couldnt be used as some balls were missing. There was only one dining menu with either meat or fish. They didnt let you use the toaster or anything to eat your own food in case you dont like the one menu.

Family run, recently converted from hostel to hotel. The night we stayed there we had an amazing dinner especially given that there was one lady covering the entire bar, restaurant kitchen and front of house, whilst also looking after her two children.
She apologised for delays on the meals whilst catering for around 20 guests but to be honest I cannot convey how amazing the food was, and I've waited longer for a meal in restaurants where the staff outnumbered the clientele.
It isn't the norm for them to be so short-staffed, but it's refreshing to know that even under difficult circumstances the quality shines through.
As to accommodation, comfy beds, beautiful scenery, and a delicious breakfast prepared us for the next part of our journey.
Would happily stay again of we found ourselves retracing the steps of our epic Icelandic roadtrip.response / report this review -

Hotel in the middle of nowhere. Nice accommodations, good wireless, good food, and really helpful staff. Place is larger than it looks. We stayed for one night on our way to Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
