Horrible place: unskilled staff, torn furniture, mosquitoes and flies all over, blinds that hardly shade, insufficient equipment, and on top of all that, a expensive price. A real nightmare.

Note that the guesthouse "driveway" is quite a way from the road, so be prepared for a long drive to/from the hotel. We rented one of the small houses. It was very cozy, however, the one we were in had broken tiles in the bathroom, so we did not get to completely enjoy the heated floors. The shower was also extremely small. The blackout curtains were wonderful! And we enjoyed the cozy dark bedroom. Especially when we got back from very busy days.
Breakfast was included in the price, however, due to our schedules, we were not able to eat breakfast there.
We did eat dinner there one night. The mushroom soup was delightful and was the highlight of the meal. The fish dishes we had were good, however, the side dishes (vegetables and potatoes) were ok. They seemed more like thawed frozen sides than freshly made. In addition, the cost for the meal seemed excessive for the quality of food.
We did enjoy our stay, and we were glad to support a local family. We would strongly suggest that they look to hire a professional chef who could really draw people to their restaurant.response / report this review -

Warm comfortable welcoming. Evening restaurant available. Breakfast excellent. Two new hot tubs available. On a working sheep farm. Farm visits possible. But it's 5km along a gravel road

Love it absolutely! We stayed at one of the cottage houses and the price was great and the rooms are clean and decent. Love the atmosphere!

We booked a twin room with shared bathroom. Paid a ridiculous price like everywhere in Iceland so was expecting a decent room. There was hardly anyone at the guesthouse but we were given the basement room that's an L shape. Dark and not a good spacial design and since we were staying for 2 nights we asked for another room that's not a basement and thankfully was given one in the attic but no longer an L shaped room. The shared bathrooms were okay, only has 2 for the entire guesthouse of people who aren't staying in the cottages so that's 11-12 rooms it has a restaurant but no kitchen for guests and even if you stay in the cottages there aren't any cooking utensils. We asked for hot water just for some tea she said she will get it for us but we waited for 10 min outside reception and she never came back when she was not busy with any other customers.
These were all okay, but we were very UNHAPPY with the service. We have been nothing but polite and even as we were asking for a room change we were as respectful and polite as possible but the owner has been nothing but RUDE from the start of our stay here. She does not smile, and not helpful at all. When we asked about information of where to see the northern lights, she was very dismissive and said, in exact words, "just look around" with her lips pursed then carried on her work. We thought she might have just had a bad day but she's been making a face at us for the entire 2 days stay and been nothing but rude. This is not the experience we've had at other guesthouses/hotels/hostels or random places where we met Icelandic people. Then we noticed that she was friendly to everyone else but us and that made us even more annoyed. Perhaps she just disliked us right from the beginning.
Despite there is a jacuzzi and the breakfast being quite good with decent meat slices and rye breads that are homemade, I don't think I'll ever stay here ever again and strongly advice against people staying here.response / report this review -

Super nuit dans cette auberge/ferme. Coup de coeur ❤️ pour les confitures maisons et pour la vue. On a l'impression d'être seul au monde. La Chambre, avec salle de bain, semblait neuve et parfaitement fonctionnel. Charmant accueil par l'hôtesse des lieux.

Realmente muy bueno. Cómodas habitaciones, generoso buffet de desayuno con productos de elaboración propia, amplio parking, y si te atreves jacuzzi natural exterior. Un poco alejado del lago Myvatn, pero muy recomendable.

這裡的小木屋設備齊全，空間很大，四周完全無遮蔽物，全是草原，景色寬廣美麗，可看夕陽日出，賞極光尤其適合，非常棒。
