The Fjarrgljfur Canyon is located in South central Iceland just north of the main ring road. It's only a 15 minute drive off the main drag on F206. Here you will see long stretches of narrow caverns that have been carved from the melting water of the Vatnajökull Glacial. These impressive mossy cliffs rise hundreds of feet off the canyon river bottoms. There is parking and bathrooms in the summer months. The east side of the cliff's have tourist friendly walking paths taking you to the top where there is a scenic waterfalls and more hiking trails.
