The only accommodation facility I've visited in Iceland located in forested area. Covered with snow trees added some charm and coziness. I had my best sleep ever during storm there. And the only place we've been offered free chocolates for evening tea. The keeper of the guesthouse was extremely polite and ready to answer our questions.
Rooms are great and meet everything you'd expect.
Also features great Mika and Ethiopian restaurants in the vicinity.response / report this review -

Rooms are very clean and comfortable heating was excellent. .. The rain shower in bathroom was a bonus feature.
Will stay here next time.
Our flight landed very early and we reached the guesthouse around 7Am the caretaker was very courteous offered us breakfast and even though they were fully booked cleaned our rooms ASAP.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Explored the Skogafoss and geyser regions.response / report this review -

Really lovely place, looks like it is brand new, comfy rooms, super helpful owner. Breakfast is included. Kitchens available for cooking. Snacks available. Short 35 minute drive to see Gulfoss, Geysir, and Bruarfoss falls. Close to the Secret Lagoon also. Really nice stay and super reasonable rate. Highly recommend this place.

One of the best I've been in so far. Reasonable rates, newer decoration and private bathroom in every room. Like a hotel room, but definitely not hotel rates! Host is very friendly and helpful.

Decent and modern rooms. There's free coffee, tea and soup. The guesthouse is located in a very quiet area. Also, the owner is nice and helpful. Was able to see the northern light from the guesthouse.

We spent 12 nights here in April. The host Haraldur is very friendly and full of advice and recommendations. The rooms are clean, modern, and warm. The showers are excellent, powerful and heated by the earth! Breakfast is from 7 to 10 and it is a good spread.
The guesthouse is in an excellent location for exploring by car. Everything is within 3 hours drive. The Golden Circle attractions are all less than an hour away.

We stay one night in this guesthouse from Nye . Room are big, well decorated and with private bathroom. The owner welcome us very well and did what he could to indicate us a open restaurant for that night . He also gave us plenty of tips about the area and about islandic habits . The breakfast is served from 8 to 10 . There are lots of variety of food ! Being my favorite the yogurt !!! The location is great if you are going the golden circle or on you way further east .

Our host was very welcoming and accomodating! The rooms are very modern and beautiful, with white duvets, hardwood floors, updated bathrooms - it feels like you're staying in a nice hotel, not a guest in someone's home. He left out Icelandic snacks, candies, soup and tea in the kitchen which was perfect when we came back at night cold after trying to see the northern lights. Breakfast was amazing with several traditional Icelandic options as well as fresh tomatoes from the greenhouse just down the road. The drive to the guesthouse was beautiful and we got to experience living out in the heart of Iceland like the locals do. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing place with amazing host. We were treated very nicely. We came very late and didn't even had our dinner. The staff let us eat the bread with Icelandic spread for breakfast. Do stay here if you are planning to go to Selfoss as the hostel very near it.
