In addition to the small but interesting museum, you can watch 2 foxes playing outside :)

The man running the place is super interesting! The Arctic foxes where a awesome draw but the Brit who runs the joint has a story or two of his own! They have 2 live foxes on premises and offer coffee!

Only two foxes, but worth the drive. One was friendly, but ate my shirt, and the other napped.

Nice self tour inside the building. Then you go outside to see the foxes with the guide, which was really kind and he explained us a lot of things about arctic foxes.

One of the best experiences we had in Iceland. Midge, the guy working the place, was super nice and helpful. You should go here if you're in the area.

Great, informative museum, with knowledgeable tour guides, live arctic foxes, and a cafe with WI-FI and washrooms. Probably about 1 hour.

Informative little place with friendly staff and two very curious foxes out back in an enclosure (they came to the center 5-ish years ago, and the center is not able to re-release them into the wild by law).

    Hello

There is a problem with the communication around the schedule. We came today at 1230 after 6 hours of road.. to find the center closed. Even if it was supposed to be open until 14 pm

However, the two young fox were outside. So we have been able to play with them and photography them until we were ton cold. They are so cute!

All in all a great experience. But call before to be sure of the opening hours.

An absolute must go if you're into an educative vacation. It's a research center, with guided tours and amazing arctic fox facts.

The place is small but interesting. A worthwhile stop if you are in the area. On the other hand, try to find some friends to split the €150 it costs for a private car to take you from the cruise terminal in Istajfjord to the Centre.

This is such a cool place, a must see, the foxes have gotten a bigger cage. And it is so funny when the run to their keepers. They do know when food is coming. The museum it self is interesting and it has a nice cafe.

Wonderful little place. They have coffee and tea, and they offer a short informative tour through the place in an effort to educate people about arctic foxes. They also have rescued foxes in the back that you can see. When I was there, one of them was playful and would come to the edge to play with your shoe. Petting an arctic fox is amazing. Not to mention the small amount you pay here goes toward research for these marvelous little creatures.
