Unfortunately so many visitors don't know there, and after their visits, they tell to everyone "There is no historical things in Tehran, just a modern city, if you visit Iran, not to worth visit!" Big mistake. Toghrol Tower is one of the most vital historical structures in Tehran. In fact, this tower built for Sultan Toghrol's grave. So if you're Muslim, the presenter will invite you to read a Fatiha to Sultan's soul:) Tower's presenter is excellent man. When I visited Tower he explained me every corner of the place and even he took some great photos. But the interesting thing in here is that I can't speak Persian, and he can neither Turkish nor English! However, I don't know how, I learnt all history of this place and so many details abot the Tower. He can use body language very well or he can speak heart language:) Please visit here, you will see a unique structure and also meet a great man which you'll never forget.

A hidden gem. If you have the time to spend an afternoon in Shahr-e Rey, this Seljukan king's tomb is an absolute must see. Despite our very basic Farsi knowledge, we managed to understand parts of the gatekeeper's enthusiastic (he doesn't get to see a lot of foreigners) remarks on the tower's features. Most impressively, it is divided into 22 flanges on the outside and two doorways, which together some believe constitute a natural sun clock.
