  The Shirpala shelter is open all days from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm.
  There is WC, Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and public hall for rest and food.
  There is beds for accomodation.
  Bed per person is 4$ in public room.
  Private room is 5$.
  Family room per person is 5.5$.

  Well, to make it short I really like Shirpala Shelter. Here you get a chance to meet up with some of the best people from all over Iran (If you happen to be there on holidays and long weekends ). This is the place to have something to eat and possibly have a rest and socialize with people of your own kind, I mean the outdoor people, before heading to the summit of LOVE, yes I very

  On my way to Tochal summit, this was my first stop after leaving Darband on 6:45am. Arrived around 9am and very much enjoyed the hot tea and the warm breakfast they serve (eggs mixed with tomatoes, called "omelett"). Cozy and easygoing atmosphere. Friendly people, very likely also that you make contact with local hikers. Good memories!

  مجتمع شیرپَلا مجتمعی کوهستانی در کوه‌های البرز در شمال تهران است.
  
  این مجتمع در ارتفاع ۲۷۵۰ متری از سطح دریا قرار دارد و مسیر آن از سربند، پس‌قلعه و آبشار دوقلو می‌گذرد. از شیرپلا تا قلهٔ توچال معمولاً سه تا چهار ساعت راه است. این مجتمع در دو طبقه بنا شده و دارای امکاناتی چون خوابگاه با ظرفیت ۱۵۰ نفر، ناهارخوری، بوفه، نمازخانه و سرویس کامل بهداشتی و لوله‌کشی آب و برق است.
  
  نام شیرپلا یا شیرپِلا در گویش مازندرانی به معنی شیر برنج است که هنوز هم خوراک گاوداران مازندران در بلندی های البرز است. کیقباد، پادشاه اساطیری، پیش از رسیدن به سلطنت به کمک جهان پهلوان رستم، در دژ کیقباد که در شیرپلای امروزی قرارداشته، زندگی می‌کرده‌است.البته در مورد نام شیرپلا برخی از کوهنوردان نیز معتقدند نام شیرپلا از واژه شیب پناه گرفته شده و به مرور زمان به شیرپلا تبدیل شده که این عقیده نیز با توجه به موقعیت این پناهگاه دور از ذهن نمی باشد.
  
  راه اصلی ورود به این پناهگاه از سمت دربند می‌باشد و پس از رسیدن به دو راهی اوسون باید به سمت راست (با توجه به علائم راهنما) حرکت کرد. در سمت چپ این پناهگاه مسیر قله توچال و همچنین ایستگاه پنجم توچال موجود است.
