one of the things I've learned here :

the great wall of gorgan was the first defending wall of the world , built in north khorasan to caspian sea. it was even older than china great wall.

this wall has a complicated hydraulic system for pumping and distribution of water to cities over it.

Now , you can see a few pieces of wall in gorgan
