  Farahan Carpet
  We took our name from Farahan region in Markazi province an internationally recognized leading hub of the Iranian carpet industry.
  Antique Farahan rugs and carpets are produced in the Farahan villages and are remarkable for their ability to combine quality and sensibility. The medallion design customary on so-called Sarouk-Farahans is classically Persian, as it has all the minor details.
  
  Throughout the last six decades of our business history, we have been trying to build on our experience and are proud that today the Farahan name has become in the same level of quality with high caliber traditionally produced hand-spun vegetable dyed carpets.
  Haj Roohollah Farahani was founder of Farahan Carpet. He was one of the best rug and carpet traders and producers in Farahan. After Haj Roohollah, his son Haj Ahmad continued his father’s method and extended activities of Farahan Carpet. He traded with the most important carpet businessmen and exporters. He was chairman of Arak carpet association for some years.
  Nowadays the third generation of our family business reliant on expertise amassed from past generations.
  
  The Farahan Carpet team is skilled in all facets of our ancient trade and with an open eye towards the state-of-art technology and design trends.
  Now, Farahan Carpet products have to comply with the certain number of quality criterias. In early spring, the needed wool for Farahan Carpet is prepared in a region along the Zagros Mountains. This is the highest grade wool available and is sorted, washed with natural detergents. Then the wool is hand-spun and dyed using natural dyes.
  Farahan Carpet designers are able to bring any designs that customers may have in a carpet. The rugs are hand-knotted in the workshops. Farahan Carpet weavers create such patterns that anybody after watching will be surprised.
  The Patina is produced naturally by means of exposure to the sun and to water without any chemical additives. This is a long process but it is absolutely essential for the rug’s length of life.
  Our loyal clients in Iran, North America and Europe know that we are strictly involved in all aspects of our business from sourcing the finest wools and natural dyes to design and production.

  گروه فرش فراهان فعالیت های تجاری و تولیدی خود را در دهه ی 1330 شمسی آغاز نمود. حاج روح الله فراهانی، در این سالها بنایی را پایه گذاری کرد که پس از 60 سال، در مسیری که همواره پر از مشکلات و تهدید های گوناگون بوده است مستحکم و قدرتمند به حرکت خود ادامه داده است. این راه توسط حاج احمد فراهانی در سالهای بعد ادامه یافت. ایشان سالها رئیس اتحادیه فرش اراک بوده اند و با بسیاری از بزرگان صنعت فرش در طی سالیان طولانی همکاری و مراودات تجاری گستره داشته اند.
  امروزه نسل سوم و چهارم این خانواده تجاری با تکیه بر تجربیات نسل های پیشین و با کسب دانش روز مشغول به فعالیت هستند. فرش فراهان همگام با متنوع ترین طرح ها، هماهنگ با تغییرات حاصل شده در نیاز مشتریان در طول سالیان اخیر و با الگوگیری از قرن ها تجربه ی بافت فرش در این منطقه، با نگاهی به آینده به سوی افق های پیش رو گام برمی دارد.
  در تمام این سال ها خانواده فراهانی در منطقه فراهان و اراک به فعالیت های تولیدی و تجاری خود پرداخته است و براین اساس نام این گروه همنام با منطقه فراهان است.
  فراهان پاره‌ای از سرزمین ایران است که منطقه ی وسیعی از شمالِ شهر اراک تا مناطقی از شهرستان آشتیان و تفرش را در بر می‌گرفت و از غرب تا مرز استان همدان نیز می‌رسید و مشاهیر بسیاری همچون قائم مقام فراهانی، میزا تقی خان امیرکبیر فراهانی و بسیاری از مفاخر فرهنگ ، سیاست و هنر این مرزوبوم از این پهنه برآمده و بر بلندای این سرزمین پرافتخار درخشیده اند.
  در طول این شش دهه فعالیت فرش فراهان همواره کوشیده است تا در سطح نام پرافتخار فراهان فرشی با کیفیت و دوام بالا ، با رنگها و مواد اولیه ای همچون پشم دست ریس و ابریشیم طبیعی که هدایایی از دل طبیعت هستند، فرشی ماندگار رقم بزند.
  مشتریان وفادار فرش فراهان در ایران، آمریکای شمالی، اروپا و ژاپن می دانند که این گروه در تمام جنبه های کسب و کار خود به مهمترین جنبه کسب و کار خود که همانا مشتریان هستند سوگند وفاداری خورده است و هیچگاه اندکی از سوگند خود تخطی نخواهد کرد.
