One of the better (but also more expensive) hotels we visited in Iran. If you ask for a room with a view of Persepolis, make sure you are happy with the view - some are marketed as “with a view” but in fact they only look out onto the courtyard and Persepolis is hidden behind trees.
The internet is officially not included, which is a joke for the price. So be sure to ask to have it included when you book. (We did and they included it for free.)
The on-site café is nice, particularly the affogato!
The hotel is just next to the Persepolis. From there, one can take night photo of Persepolis or early sunrise. In the morning, there are some song birds around the hotel. Breakfast is basic, like most hotel in Iran.
A must stay place if you want to visit Persepolis properly
Let's be real, there are 5 star trailer parks and lousy Manhattan penthouses and your opinion matters as little or as much as mine. That said, Apadama is a bargain, if you have a Persian friend book for you, which entails 2-3 calls and making a deposit at an ATM. Their website looks good but won't guarantee your booking. The hotel itself has seen better days, but if you a book a room with view of the archeological site you'll accept the poor WIFI and pretty second rate food. The staff is very helpful with an occasional English speaking front desk attendee - you would also be wise to have a Shiraz taxi take you and pick you up for a fixed price. Some of the guys at the ticket booth are crooks and no one will ever fire them, so don't leave anything with them like tripod or backpack, and have EXACT change for your ticket(s). Take plenty of water, chocolate or snacks that are best bought at the small traffic circle store and not the silly tourist traps. The hotel sells authentic Coca Cola, despite the evil axis gibberish. Enjoy!
Excellent hotel and exceptional location!
Located at 100 meters from the staircase that leads to the Gate of Nations, this hotel is a good choice for those who want to explore the archeological site at sunset, sunrise and specially those who do not have enough with two hours visiting the historical site. The bedroom was comfortable, and the view from the garden was unique.
The food served in the restaurant was exceptional. The best seasoned and tender chicken kebab we ate in Iran!!. The breakfast included with the bedroom was correct too.
The staff was very kind and helpful, and we got an amazing price for the double room!!.
Luxurious hotel, great for visiting Persepolis early, before crowds arrive. It is not so cheap (2.3 million rials per double room), but it is quite luxurious. However Wi-Fi is very bad, only 50 MB free, which is not good for this price.
good hotel for Persepolis lovers
