The garden itself is great place, beautiful lake in center of the garden just in front of a historical building that surrounded with tall Palm trees and flowers. The garden is managing by military because of a military museum located there and today July 2nd 2017 I was standing in front of garden from 3:30 (Opening hour) till 4:25 to open the gate which is a shame for military of Iran.

The garden is quite empty and overgrown, but the military museum has a lot of historical swords, pistols, muskets and rifles. The upstairs level of the palace shows a glimpse of the 20th century luxury of the Shah’s lifestyle and is interesting. The foreigner entry price of 200,000 rial (5.5 USD) is quite expensive for Iran.

The Golshan Garden is one of the oldest gardens in Shiraz. During the Safavid dynasty, it was used as a palace by the Safavid Kings. The current main building was constructed by Mirza Ali Mohammad Khan Qawam II in 1863. He bought a nearby qanat to water his garden. After his death, the garden was eventually inherited by Afife, thus being called "Afif-Abad". In 1962, it was restored by the army. It now functions as a weapons museum.

A palace that belonged to kings of the past inside a a garden. It includes two museums now: museum of classic military weapons with lots of interesting classic weapons and museum of lesson. Traditional tea-house and bath are among other parts of this garden to visit.
