I stayed in Baron in aug 2021 for Ashura and had amazing service from every staff . They go out of their way to accommodate your needs . Food was great and fresh . Receptionist were very polite , supportive and looked after us extremely well even if we asked for help in the early mornings of the night .
I would definitely recommend this place and their shuttle service is very efficient too .

Our home away from home for the 3 days we were in Karbala was The Baron Hotel. Once we entered through its guarded gates, we were transported to an alternate, luxurious universe. This was a 5 star hotel right here in the heart of Karbala, with top notch service and comfort. After spending the day out in the dusty city, the welcoming lobby and staff, the scrumptious buffets and the well appointed rooms were just what a weary pilgrim needed. We were thoroughly spoilt by the staff at the Baron and were blown away by their hospitality. I even managed to get a foot massage during my stay here – who would’ve thought that one could manage that in Karbala too. We even got a parting gift to add to our memories of The Baron Hotel, a truly 5 star experience in the heart of Karbala…

If i could i would rate this hotel 10/5 ! yes its that amazing ! I loved the rooms ,all 10 different variety of restaurants with diff cuisines and loved the courtesy of their staff ,they even had free shuttle service to imam hussain ziyarat which ran 24 hrs ! a special thanks to mr toufeyl for treating us so well And doing all possible help for us , we had not even a slight issue during our 7 days stay ! If u are looking for a “at home feel” stay in karbala this is it! Thankyou team Baron 😇

A little overpriced, but food, service, scenery and cleanliness is very good. A walk in the garden is a must. Offers a good price for weddings, but you can find better, definitely.

Amazing Amazing hotel with very very helpful and friendly staff..luxurious hotel in a place like karbala has shuttle bus service every 30 minutes to the holy shrines..the staff from the front desk manager,the receptionist,the hotel boys ,house keeping ,transport guys everyone there goes out of their way to please their guests..don't think twice to book this place.
They have some good Pakistani and pizza place too.

Very nice and comfortable hotel

Good location, friendly staff, excellent service , 24 hours free shuttle bus service from hotel to city centre (Haram) and back every half an hour .. that was very good service included part of the booking. The food was amazing, very clean & tidy, good quality outside dining Restaurants. And a massive big screen to show soccer games "live" at night .. good kids area to play. Swimming pool is very clean and nice . Steam room. Sauna , and message therapy were extremely clean and professional. They upgraded my booking without extra charge . We had the interconnected rooms.

However, there are room for improvements

The bathrooms have drainage problems ( probably since constructed) they don't have the correct fall to the floor waste in the bathrooms and showers .. which is not very pleasant when the floor is always wet. Also sometimes I could hear the bathroom upstairs in the floor above is being used . I guess, The plumbing pipes were not insulated .

Even though this is an appealing resort with plenty of facilities and food varieties, our stay here has been totally desolated by the extremely arrogant and egoistic manager ( Mr Waqar ) who is ,to his peak, disrespectful and smart-mouthed. He explicitly refuses to lend an ear for his customers' needs and upon that, shows great amount of insolence. I would prefer that no one else has to go through this scenario and that action is taken as soon as possible.

Very nice and new hotel, rooms are very big, staff very friendly, they welcomes you by a date milkshake at the desk and a fruit platter in your room.
Very nice gardens and huge TV display on the wall with multiple restaurants inside the garden.

Despite the beauty and elegance of the place , but the quality of food so bad doesn't rise to the level of Iraqi food. The service is also surprisingly bad despite the huge price . i don't think i will go there again

This hotel started well it had foreign staff good customer service and then. the owner decide to hire more Iraqis . Iraqis by nature are genetically not capable of working in the hospitality business. they don't like to be told what to do often a waiter gets offended when you tell them your order and they all act like they either work in a government building or like they own the place

The hotel is now awful. although it is built well good rooms the owner of the hotel just needs to employ more foreign labour capable of rendering good customer service.

excellent. Excellent. Excellent One of the best hotels I have stayed in the Middle East. Beautiful and modern building. Even better staff totally helpful and the most important thing is that is only 10 min drive from the religious sites that one visits in Karbala. Moreover for the residents there is a 24 hr coach service leaving the hotel every half hour. Excellent culinary choices. Separate restaurants for pizzas, Lebanese food, Indian and Pakistani, even fast food. Not to mention swimming pools etc etc what more can one want. it is 21 stories high so plenty of rooms available.
