Good location for hikers 3 minutes drive to Soran town where one can find everything they might need in a decent local town and 5 minutes drive to the infamous Ali Beg Waterfall (Gali Ali Beg).
The rooms are good in size and well furnished, the bathroom is huge with lots of unused space, the water temperature fluctuate every 2 seconds. The best part of the hotel experience is the Turkish restaurant as in spite of the very modest breakfast, the lunch and dinner are the best in the area. The backyard garden is very beautiful although no meals can be ordered from it (shame). Everyday the power turned off at 12 midnight and I had to get out of bed, dress, get out of the room, lock then unlock the "smart" door and then reinsert the card in the wall to restore power. One day I tested the door from outside (which any traveler should do) and to my surprise it was not locked, the hotel handy man had to slam the door a couple of times before it restored locking function. Room service is the biggest disappointment of them all, so I recommend to negotiate that before booking a room. The staff are very friendly, fast responding and speaking Kurdish, Turkish, and basic Arabic.response / report this review -

The best hotel in town, I posted during Eid Vacation, rates were cheap. Rooms were tidy and big.. breakfast was delicious

Great place and sincerely genuine people. If you are ever in Soran you gotta stay here, amazing views that would take your breath away.
