In 1979, UTAS also organised and executed the first-ever skiing expedition down the Himalayan Trisul peaks for a Yugoslav team. Additionally, UTAS was among the first to introduce tourist charters (of Adria Airways,Yugoslavia) to India, as early as 1974.
