Raja Ravi Varma the famous Indian painter is the pioneer of Indian printing and advertisement industry. In 1894 he started a lithographic press in Bombay, the first of its kind in the count.
Ravi Varma's efforts initiated a huge change in the way the country perceived colours and shapes. The paintings, advertisements, and labels printed in his press spread across the country and shaped a new marketing trend in the country.
He also master minded a technological revolution in Indian press and printing scenario. While inaugurating a technical school at Nagercoil the Mastero said " each of us who can apply their mind and brain should work, only industrious citizens will develop new art".
