Studio 20four is a brain child of Rakhi Vijay, a young and dynamic entrepreneur hailing from one of the oldest and well known art family of India. While her father, Mr. Shankar Vijaivargia, is a well known and widely acclaimed personality of the international art circuit, Rakhi always had the zest to bring art to everyday life in form of home decor, clothing, paintings, textiles and many more such things that would be vibrant, colourful, artistic yet affordable for everyone. This passion for doing something different while still keeping the family’s art tradition alive was the major source of inspiration of Studio 20four, where entire collections have been traced, compiled, restored, archived and made available for posterity. As a result, the extensive inventory is recognized for its quality and distinctive design elements. Continuous efforts are put in on shedding new light on, artists and their genres, while also giving the insights about global trends and new technology.
India is a beautiful assortment of diversity reflected in our Clothing, Food, Lifestyle, Language, Music, Books etc. We, at Studio20four use a marketplace model to capture the regional variations of India. We connect local artisans & designers directly to global customers and thereby increase their livelihood, remove middlemen, help them create/promote their brand and thereby preserve our culture, traditions and values. We believe this journey will not only help artisans of India but also help customers discover and buy products which they otherwise are not able to do today.
Starting Studio 20four was fate, reaching out to artisans was a choice, but falling in love with the idea of vibrancy, colour in daily life was beyond our control.
