The Association of Professional Social Worker (APSW) was formed initially by 30 members who are Master degree holders in social work from different Universities with a view of transferring knowledge and skills of social work to the people and proper implementation of the knowledge. The association was registered under the societies Registration Act,1860 in the year 1987-Regd.no.70 of 1987 (24th November) and started functioning gradually since the.
By the year 2008,APSW intensifies its function in the field of welfare of the aged, women and children, Drug addict and training for developmental workers under the financial assistance of the Ministry of women and child Development, Government of India. APSW is a recognised institution by the Central and Government.
