Waterfall and river to beach. Can be slippy. Done steep sections. Fabulous rock formations on beach. A number of geocaches about. Long distance footpaths pass through here. Sadly pub now closed. Easy parking.

A Glen that easy to reach and walk through, with beautiful small river, trees surrounded, and at the end there is a little but lovely stone beach, fantastic spot for a weekend trip

Glen Maye is a beautiful, peaceful place. The walk starts at a carpet near the top with public toilets. Unfortunately, the Waterfall Inn next to the car park appears to have closed down, so don't expect to have drinks served. The walk down from the carpal through the glen takes you to a beach (pebbles unfortunately, it's not sandy), and is well worth the walk. The path through the glen is uneven, covered in tree roots, and slippery rocks though, so isn't suitable for prams, wheelchairs, or little ones. There's a road above the glen that is easier to walk on however. The glen is a small, but deep, valley cut by a stream. It has beautiful waterfalls with viewpoints and bridges through the wooded valley down to the beach.
